About this file
This document contains questions and answers related to the Central Communications System (CCS) procurement issued by the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB). The CCS will be a centralized communication system to connect video gaming terminals, site controllers, and other related technological components for the Illinois video gaming industry. The IGB provided responses to 64 questions on topics such as supported video gaming terminal (VGT) models, data/download requirements, self-service redemption units, training plans, VGT manufacturer details, communication protocols, contract term, and device/controller requirements.
The IGB stated they do not have estimates on which VGT models are supported or at end-of-life, but the CCS vendor must support all VGT models that comply with Illinois standards. The IGB also provided some high-level metrics such as average monthly VGT moves, new VGT deployments, and hotline calls. The RFP has a 10-year maximum contract term per state law, and the CCS vendor will be responsible for managing all devices and equipment required to operate the system.
