About this file

This is a transportation map produced by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Arizona Strip District depicting the recommended route from St. George, Utah to the Mt. Dellenbaugh National Park Service (NPS) Administrative Site within the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument. The map is georeferenced for use in Avenza and was produced on March 18, 2025, using NAD 1983 UTM Zone 12N coordinate system at a scale of 1:530,000. The document shows the detailed route beginning at Interstate 15 near St. George, proceeding south toward Mesquite, Nevada, then transitioning through Utah State Route 7 and various county and BLM roads, including BLM Road 1069 (Mt. Trumbull loop) and County Roads 5, 103, and other secondary and tertiary unpaved roads to reach the final destination.

The map displays comprehensive geographic and administrative data including the boundaries of the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument, BLM-managed lands, Indian Reservations, state and private property, military reservations, and major transportation corridors. The recommended route is highlighted in yellow with directional arrows and text annotations at key decision points. The map includes administrative site locations such as Pakoon, Parashant Field Station, Poverty Mountain, and Black Rock sites.
