About this file

This document is Exhibit B, a visual specification attachment for federal contract KLGO 331433A (April 2026) regarding roofing work at the Pantheon Saloon and Red Front buildings. The exhibit consists of annotated aerial photographs and detailed descriptions of work to be performed by the National Park Service (NPS) in preparation for contractor work.

NPS will complete the following preparatory work prior to contractor arrival: remove existing rolled roofing from the Pantheon and Elevator Shaft roofs; remove and replace parapet wall caps (indicated by red lines on the drawings); remove an unused chimney on the Red Front roof and recover the roof penetration with matching sheathing; repair or replace sheathing and joists on the Pantheon roof where water infiltration damage has occurred near a previously repaired scupper flashing. The contractor's work scope includes recovering all grey roofing areas between the red lines with new polyvinyl chloride (PVC) membrane roofing material. The existing rolled roofing on the Red Front will remain in place and be recovered with the new PVC material. Approximate locations of roof fall protection anchors are marked with blue squares on the drawings. A section of rolled roofing on the Pantheon roof near the cedar shingles will be addressed in a future project when those shingles are replaced.
