About this file

This document is an exhibit (Exhibit B) from a federal contract specification detailing scope of work for roofing and parapet cap work at the Pantheon Saloon and Red Front buildings under contract KLGO 331433A, scheduled for April 2026.

The National Park Service (NPS) will perform preparatory work prior to contractor arrival, including removal of parapet wall caps and existing rolled roofing on the Pantheon and Elevator Shaft roofs. NPS will also remove an unused chimney on the Red Front roof (no longer needed following conversion to heat pumps) and recover the roof penetration with matching sheathing. Additionally, NPS will address water infiltration damage on the Pantheon roof caused by previously repaired scupper flashing, removing all existing roofing and repairing or replacing damaged sheathing and joists as necessary. The contractor's scope includes recovering all grey roofing areas marked between red lines with new polyvinyl chloride (PVC) membrane roofing material. Existing rolled roofing on the Red Front building will remain in place and be recovered rather than replaced. The document identifies approximate locations of roof fall protection anchors via blue squares and includes photographic documentation of the chimney, parapet conditions, and areas of water damage requiring remediation.
