About this file
This document is a detailed technical specification for the construction of a new building at the Cleveland Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry in Price, Utah, located in the northern part of the San Rafael Swell. The project involves constructing a new enclosure to replace two existing structures, with the primary objective of covering an existing dinosaur archaeological excavation area. The building will feature a steel building system with a single-slope shed roof, elevated walkway, interior platform, exterior sidewalk, and observation doors.
The specification provides comprehensive technical requirements across 33 divisions, covering everything from site preparation and concrete foundations to metal building systems, electrical work, and finishes. Key components include a metal building with standing-seam roof panels, exposed-fastener wall panels, translucent wall panels, and structural steel framing. The project will be constructed under a single prime contract, with work to be conducted during regular office hours (7:00 am to 6:00 pm), and requires careful coordination to minimize disruption to the existing site operations. The specifications outline detailed requirements for materials, installation methods, quality control, and performance standards for each aspect of the construction.
