About this file
This is a construction drawing set for Pavement Preservation Design Services at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, prepared for the United States Department of the Interior National Park Service. The project encompasses comprehensive pavement preservation and repair work across five designated areas within the park.
The scope of work includes crack sealing and filling, asphalt patching (both partial and full depth), chip sealing, slurry sealing, shoulder grading, tree trimming, joint sealing, and pavement markings with associated symbols. The project area overview identifies five distinct work zones: Area 1 covering Whitman Prospect Avenue, Bolivar Heights Parking, and Bolivar Heights Bus Loop; Area 2 encompassing Shoreline Drive, Visitor Center Parking, and entrance road parking; Area 3 addressing Grandville School Parking; Area 4 including multiple routes and facilities maintenance parking areas; and Area 5 covering the lower town sections including train station parking, river access parking, and bus loop parking. Total quantities include 20,210 linear feet of crack sealing, 8,485 linear feet of partial depth patching, 5,439 linear feet of full depth patching, 565 linear feet of shoulder grading, 56 linear feet of tree trimming, 1,730 linear feet of joint sealing, and 276,905 square feet of slurry seal, along with 233,803 square feet of pavement markings and associated signage. The design drawings include detailed specifications for pavement repair methodologies, traffic control plans, sign structures and mounting requirements, and erosion control measures necessary for construction execution.
