About this file
This is a General architectural and engineering document for the Whiteriver Hospital Construction project. The document appears to be a basis of design (BOD) or design development package that outlines the general parameters and requirements for the new 407,000 square-foot Indian Health Service hospital to be constructed on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation in Whiteriver, Arizona. The facility is designed to serve a primary service area with a projected population of 19,088 in 2030 and will be built on the existing 14-acre hospital site with minor lease adjustments.
The hospital will provide comprehensive medical services including primary care, emergency services, acute care (adult medical/surgical and pediatric), low-risk labor and delivery, specialty care services (general surgery, ophthalmology, ENT, orthopedics, podiatry, cardiology, endocrinology, nephrology, pulmonology, rheumatology, and genetic testing), psychiatry, behavioral health emergency and inpatient care, transitional care, telemedicine, dental care, eye care, audiology, rehabilitation services (physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy), respiratory therapy, diagnostic imaging (X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI), inpatient and outpatient pharmacy, laboratory services, and administrative functions. This design document would serve as a critical reference for the prime contractor to understand the scope, facility requirements, and technical specifications necessary to construct the replacement hospital facility.
