About this file
This document is an Incentive Plan that outlines the structure and implementation of profit provisions for a fixed-price incentive (successive target) contract. The overall intent is to incentivize the contractor to deliver quality products within program constraints. The contractor's performance will be measured based on schedule management during the design and manufacture phases.
The final cost and profit will be negotiated at the completion of the Design Phase (CLIN 0001) and the Manufacture Phase (CLIN 1001). The profit adjustment formula uses factors such as the Firm Target Profit, Delivery Incentive Factor, and the difference between the Final Cost and Ceiling Price to determine the Final Profit. Delivery ahead of schedule is incentivized, with varying profit levels based on the number of days early the delivery occurs. Conversely, deliveries after the target date result in reduced profit.

SAPF TRAILER FIXED PRICE INCENTIVE FEE PLAN
1.0 INTRODUCTION
This Incentive Plan (IP) documents the structure and implementation of profit provisions. The overall intent is to incentivize the contractor to deliver quality products within program constraints. The contractor’s performance in achieving these results will be measured in accordance with the methods detailed in this plan. This IP is intended to encourage excellent schedule management for both the design and manufacture phases of the requirement as stated in the Statement of Work (SOW).
2.0 FIXED PRICE INCENTIVE CALCULATIONS
The final cost shall be negotiated at completion of the Design Phase (CLIN 0001) and the Manufacture Phase (CLIN 1001), and the final profit is established by formula, as under the fixed-price incentive (successive target) contract (see FAR 16.403-2).
Profit Adjustment Formula TCi = Initial Target Cost TPi = Initial Target Profit TPf – Firm Target Profit TPmax = Firm Target Profit Ceiling (max) TPmin = Firm Target Profit Floor (min) PRICEmax = Ceiling Price TCf = Firm Target Cost TPf = Firm Target Profit DIn = Delivery Incentive Factor = Days (or range of days) for delivery ahead of schedule PROFITd = Delivery Incentive Profit
COSTf = Final Cost = Actual Allowable Cost Incurred PRICEmax = Firm Maximum Price = The Maximum Price the Government will pay. Any costs incurred after this point are assumed by the contractor.
PROFITf = Final Profit FP = Final Price FP = max {COSTf + PROFITf , PRICEmax} PROFITf = TPmin + PROFITd PROFITd = DIn($TBD)
Factor Value Defined Range DIt 1 Delivery +/-14 days of Target Date DIi 2 Delivery 15-30 days before DIt DIii 3 Delivery 31-60 days before DIt DIiii 4 Delivery 61-90 days before DIt Dix 0.5 Delivery 15-30 days after DIt DI0 0 Delivery 31+ days after DIt
