About this file

This is a technical specifications document (Attachment Specifications 02-11-2026.pdf) for the installation of sinks and related plumbing/MEP infrastructure in the Outpatient Surgery Department at VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHS) in North Las Vegas, Nevada, Project Number 593-26-305.

The scope of work encompasses converting existing administrative spaces into standardized examination rooms by installing new plumbing fixtures (sinks/lavatories), exam lights, and associated MEP systems across seven rooms (3B118, 3B146, 3B190, 3B192, 3B180, 3B176, 3B174). The specifications reference comprehensive VA Master Specifications organized by CSI Division format, including general requirements (Division 01), existing conditions, metals, thermal/moisture protection, openings, finishes, specialties, and MEP systems (Divisions 22-28). Key technical requirements address safety, quality control, commissioning of plumbing systems, sustainable construction practices, seismic restraint for non-structural components, and infection prevention/control during construction in an active healthcare facility. Detailed specifications cover plumbing fixtures (white lavatories), flooring (vinyl composition tile in multiple colors), wall finishes (gypsum board with Benjamin Moore Gray Owl paint), ceiling finishes, door hardware, and wall/door protection. The contractor must comply with International Plumbing Code, OSHA regulations, healthcare facility standards, and maintain continuous VA facility operations including 24/7 utility services. Documentation requirements include as-built drawings, operations and maintenance manuals, warranty management plans, and commissioning documentation per Section 22 08 00. The specifications emphasize accessibility, infection control, proper waste management, and coordination with multiple MEP trades throughout the existing occupied healthcare environment.
