About this file

This is an Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) Safety Permit Request form for a construction project at McClellan involving parking lot resurfacing work. Project 612A4-27-013, titled "Re-slurry and Re-stripe Bldg. 88 and 98 Parking Lots," is managed by COR/Lead Lye Saechao and was submitted on August 14, 2026, with a project timeline from November 2, 2026, through December 31, 2026. The work encompasses three phased parking lot closures: Phase I at Building 88 (November 16–20, 2026), Phase II at Building 98 North (November 27–December 1, 2026), and Phase III at Building 98 South (December 3–7, 2026). All work is outdoor-based, and pedestrian access to both buildings will remain open throughout the project with alternate parking designated at Building 911.

The ILSM form documents twelve action items addressing life safety compliance requirements. Key measures include maintaining free and unobstructed exits per NFPA 101 standards (marked N/A as exits are not impacted by outdoor parking lot work), ensuring emergency services access with fire hydrants remaining accessible along public right-of-way while allowing emergency barrier removal, and confirming no fire alarm/detection/suppression systems will be affected (marked N/A). Additional requirements specify temporary construction partitions as N/A, no additional firefighting equipment needed, active housekeeping practices with debris cleared continuously due to surface preparation for sealer application, no fire drills required (no temporary alarm system), hazard surveillance conducted daily by the Construction Superintendent with continuous safety audits, and no staff training, organization-wide education, or public announcements required. The form confirms compliance with life safety standards through operational controls rather than structural modifications.
