About this file
This document is an Attachment III for Tire Retread specifications, associated with a state and local contract opportunity involving the City of Edinburg's Solid Waste Management Department in Texas. The attachment details specific requirements for tire retread services, focusing on mold tread design for mixed service use, particularly in refuse and construction industries. The specifications mandate specific tire sizes (11R22.5 and 315/80R22.5) with precise tread depth requirements of 26/32nds and 32/32nds respectively, using either Michelin XDY or Bandag BDM Tread designs. Vendors must pre-approve any exceptions to these specifications by submitting an Exemption Letter with their bid.
The document emphasizes strict compliance with technical specifications, with a warning that any blank line items or unmet specifications may result in bid rejection. The contract appears to be seeking comprehensive tire retread and repair services, though specific contract duration, total contract value, and exact quantities are not explicitly detailed in this attachment. Bidders must demonstrate precise adherence to the technical requirements, with a focus on high-quality, chip/cut-resistant, and traction-enhanced tire treads designed for demanding industrial applications.
