About this file
This is an Anti-Collusion Affidavit required for state and local contract bidding. The affidavit serves as a sworn statement from an authorized agent of the bidding entity affirming compliance with competition and ethical standards. The affiant must certify that the bidder has not engaged in collusion with other bidders regarding fixed pricing or bid suppression, has not conspired with state officials or employees to manipulate contract terms or pricing, and has not provided payment, gifts, donations, or other compensation to government officials in exchange for favorable contract consideration. The document requires notarization or certification by a notary public, clerk, or judge to validate the sworn statement.
This affidavit is a standard compliance document used across state procurement processes to ensure competitive integrity and prevent fraud. Submission of the affidavit is typically mandatory as a condition of bid acceptance, and false statements constitute a material breach of procurement requirements. The document protects the contracting agency by establishing a binding legal record of the bidder's commitment to ethical bidding practices and creates potential liability for bidders who misrepresent their conduct.
