About this file

The document is an AR Form 300-27C (03/01/24) Consent to Search Authorization and Registration form from the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC). The form outlines strict guidelines for visitors entering DOC facilities, detailing 18 specific categories of contraband items that are prohibited, including dangerous instruments, weapons, drugs, electronic devices, and other items that could compromise facility security. Visitors must consent to searches of their person, property, and vehicles as a condition of entry, with the option to leave immediately if they do not wish to be searched.

The form requires comprehensive personal information from visitors, including name, address, driver's license details, vehicle information, and purpose of visit. There is an explicit zero-tolerance policy for sexual abuse or harassment, with instructions to report any suspected incidents immediately. Violations of the listed prohibitions may result in being barred from or denied access to Colorado Department of Corrections facilities, and potentially subject individuals to criminal prosecution. The form is part of a broader security protocol designed to maintain safety and control within correctional environments.
