About this file

This document is a Proposal Security Form for a bid bond issued by Macomb Township for the Restroom Remodel at Macomb Corners Park project (Proposal 25-001). The bid is due on April 17, 2025, and is located at 54111 Broughton Road in Macomb, Michigan 48042. The form serves as a standard bid bond document that legally binds the proposer and surety, outlining the financial guarantees and obligations associated with submitting a bid for the township's restroom renovation project.

The document details the conditions under which the bid bond may be invoked, including scenarios where the bidder fails to deliver the required executed agreement or performance bonds. The bond protects the owner (Macomb Township) by ensuring financial compensation if the winning bidder defaults, with the surety agreeing to pay the difference between the original bid and the next lowest responsible bid, up to a specified penal sum. The bond includes provisions for notice requirements, time extensions, and legal jurisdiction, specifying that any legal actions must be commenced in Macomb County, Michigan, and that the total time for issuing a Notice of Award cannot exceed 120 calendar days from the bid due date without the surety's written consent.
