About this file
This document is an attachment containing Data Item Descriptions (DIDs) related to a draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for a planned Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Parts-Contractor Logistics Support (AC Parts-CLS) contract. The DIDs outline the specific reporting and documentation requirements for the contractor, including a Monthly Status Report and a Parts Management Program. Key details include the requirement for the contractor to establish and maintain a Parts Management Program to ensure use of parts meets contractual requirements, reduce parts proliferation, enhance reliability and supportability, and reduce life-cycle costs. The contractor must make the parts management process documentation available to the FAA for review. The related pre-solicitation notice indicates the FAA is seeking information on a potential contract to purchase and/or exchange aircraft parts for its fleet to streamline the parts ordering process.
