About this file
This document is a Bid Security Form for Macomb Township's project involving insulation installation at Fire Stations 3 and 4, with a bid due date of January 22, 2024. The form serves as a bid bond that legally binds the bidder and surety, outlining their obligations in case of default during the bidding process. The document requires the bidder to provide a financial guarantee that they will enter into the contract and provide required performance and payment bonds if awarded the project.
The bid security form details the financial protections for the township, including provisions that the bidder and surety will pay the difference between their bid and the next lowest responsible bid if the original bidder defaults. The penal sum of the bond is to be specified, with a maximum liability limited to that amount. The form includes specific conditions under which the bond becomes void, such as the owner accepting the bid and the bidder delivering the required documentation, or if all bids are rejected. Notices and communication methods are also outlined, with any legal actions to be commenced in Macomb County, Michigan.
