About this file

This is an appendix providing cemetery site-specific information and operational requirements for Fort Jacksonville National Cemetery in Columbia, South Carolina.

The cemetery is located at 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229, with primary contact Andrew Guadalupe (Director) at (803) 382-2473 and Marilynn Harris as the ACOR. The document specifies monument types and inscription requirements, including niche covers (Product Code I1), upright marble headstones measuring 13" x 42" x 4" (Product Code U1/R2), and standardized letters, fonts, numbers, and character specifications (Product Code: Letters, Fonts, Numbers & Other Characters). Emblems of belief are available across multiple categories (#1-20, #21-40, #41-60, #61-75, #76-MOH) with corresponding drawing references. Reverse inscriptions must follow the R2 engraving requirement, whereby cemetery personnel remove headstones from graves and transport them to the contractor's dedicated sandblasting work area for inscription. All contract performance work must be conducted between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. Work outside regular duty hours, on weekends, or on holidays requires written approval from the Contracting Officer at no additional cost to the Government and cannot substitute for regular work week performance. The document includes a site map identifying various cemetery sections, facilities, and operational areas.
