About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for Denver Health Hospital and Authority (DHHA), a local nonprofit health system in the Denver metro area, seeking to acquire a new sleep study system for conducting home sleep tests. The hospital's sleep program currently performs approximately 4,000 in-home sleep studies annually to evaluate patients for sleep apnea, with the goal of obtaining a Type III sleep study device that allows for proper diagnostic interpretation, coding, and potential EPIC integration. The system must meet CMS 2007 AASM requirements and provide robust reporting capabilities for accurate physician interpretations and potential treatment ordering.
The request for proposal (RFP #1182) requires detailed vendor responses across multiple areas including product capabilities, system architecture, data exchange, security protocols, implementation methodology, training approaches, and comprehensive pricing. The total cost summary section indicates the need for vendors to provide detailed pricing for categories such as licensing, hardware, implementation, hosting, support/maintenance, and annual operating costs based on the 4,000 annual studies. The SOW emphasizes the importance of a system that can efficiently evaluate sleep apnea, integrate with existing electronic medical records, support multiple patient data points, and provide flexible reporting options while maintaining strict security and compliance standards.

PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT:
Scope of Work: Denver Health Hospital and Authority (DHHA) is a local, nonprofit health system servicing the Denver metro area. Denver Health’s Sleep Lab performs around 4,000 in home sleep studies per year to evaluate for sleep apnea. Denver Health Sleep Program was established in 2010 to provide home sleep testing for patients suspected of having sleep apnea, the most common sleep disorder that if left untreated can lead to increased cardiovascular disease, stroke, excessive daytime sleepiness, metabolic disease, traffic accidents and death. This program is run by two Respiratory Therapists who triage over 4,000 referrals a year and either approve patients for a Denver Health home sleep study or refer to an outside lab for either a home sleep study or in lab study. This decision is based on medical history, wait time/access, and individual patient needs.
DHHA sleep program is currently looking to acquire a new sleep study system. The device and system are to be used for in-home sleep testing for obstructive and central sleep apnea. The system for this testing must also provide robust reporting that allows for accurate physician interpretations and CMS compliant ordering for treatment of these disorders if indicated.
1. Specification Requirements:
· Acquisition of a new sleep study device and operating/interpreting system.
· Type 111 sleep study device that will allow for proper evaluation, diagnostic interpterion, and coding of at home sleep studies.
· Preferably allows for EPIC integration.
· This system shall help gain a better understanding of our members and providers to meet their needs more efficiently and effectively.
· Needs to meet the CMS 2007 AASM requirements.
