About this file

This document is an attachment containing photographic evidence of damage to flagpoles at Snake River Canyon National Cemetery (SRCNC) on 3 July 2025. The images document multiple instances of flagpole and equipment damage, including:

A broken cable on the main flagpole causing the US Flag to become entangled on the smaller POW/MIA flagpole, which resulted in damage to that flagpole's truck (pulley mechanism). Additional damage includes a broken floodlight on the ground, a damaged base plate on the 60-foot flagpole, and documentation of the lower halyard system access points on both the 60-foot and 30-foot flagpoles. A sign on one pole indicates the flagpole was damaged during a recent windstorm and is in the process of being repaired.
