About this file
This document is a training presentation for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) STORES 5.8 Item Request Training process. The presentation details a new item request workflow that reduces item creation bottlenecks and provides centralized visibility for customers, vendors, and DLA. Key features of the process include an ability to associate existing stock numbers, add pricing information, track request status through a comment/status log, and compare differences between customer requests and vendor submissions.
The training covers the entire request lifecycle, from initial item request to final submission to DLA. Users can save drafts, submit requests, view request status, add comments, and track changes. The system includes features like auto-complete for stock numbers, pricing information entry, and a comparison screen that highlights differences between original customer requests and vendor submissions. The workflow is designed to help ensure the correct items are being requested and to improve tracking and communication throughout the item request process.
