Wage Determination Summary
This is a Wage Determination issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division under the Service Contract Act. The document establishes prevailing wage rates for federal service contracts in Mississippi counties including Hancock, Harrison, and Jackson, effective as of December 3, 2025 (Revision 28, Wage Determination No. 2015-5147).
The wage determination lists prevailing hourly rates for approximately 300+ occupational classifications across administrative, automotive, food service, furniture maintenance, general services, health, information technology, instructional, laundry, machine tool, materials handling, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant operations, protective services, recreation, stevedoring, technical, transportation, and miscellaneous occupational categories. Wage rates range from $9.88 per hour for Waiter/Waitress positions to $50.52 per hour for Nuclear Medicine Technologists. All listed occupations require fringe benefits including health and welfare at $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly or $962.00 monthly), vacation accrual of one to four weeks based on service length, and minimum eleven paid holidays annually. Special provisions apply to computer professionals (footnote 1), air traffic controllers and weather observers receiving night and Sunday pay differentials (footnote 2), hazardous duty pay differentials of 4-8 percent for ordnance work, and uniform allowances of $3.35 per week when uniforms require special maintenance. The determination references Executive Orders 13706 and 13658 regarding paid sick leave and minimum wage requirements for federal contractors.
