About this file
This is a Performance and Payment Bonds (PPQ) template for the Lake Powhatan Wastewater Treatment Plant decommissioning project. The template is designed to facilitate the submission of bonding information by contractors bidding on this small business set-aside solicitation issued by the Department of Agriculture Forest Service. Both performance and payment bonds are required at 100% of the original contract award price, with bonds due within 5 days after award. Contractors may provide an irrevocable letter of credit or use Payment Bond Form SF-25A and Performance Bond Form SF-25 as alternatives, as permitted under FAR 52.228-13.
The template serves as a standardized format for qualified bonding companies to present their bonding capacity and terms for this construction project, which involves decommissioning and removing a 20,000-gallon-per-day wastewater treatment plant and related pump station components, then connecting to municipal sewer. The project magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This template is an administrative document that does not contain specific pricing, performance requirements, or scope details, but rather provides the framework through which bonding information must be submitted to meet the mandatory bonding requirements of the solicitation.
