About this file
This is a Government Property Report template used for federal contracts involving government-furnished property, primarily for U.S. Coast Guard vessel maintenance and repair work.
The form requires contractors to document and track all government property received during contract performance, including detailed information in seven key columns: property description with National Stock Number (NSN) and serial number, property value, date received, date installed or consumed, current location or disposition instructions, and date disposition was carried out. Contractors must record the location of property in their possession or provide disposition instructions for unused, serviceable, salvage, or scrap property. The definitions section specifies that serviceable property is pre-existing property that was replaced and will be returned to the Coast Guard for future use; salvage has value exceeding scrap value; and scrap has value only for basic material content. The completed report must be signed by both the Property Administrator and contractor, with the contractor certifying that all property has been either consumed in contract performance or provided with appropriate disposition instructions. This report is required to accompany the contractor's final invoice, and contractors must execute all disposition instructions as directed.
