About this file
This is a Government Property Report template used for federal contracting, specifically designed for Coast Guard vessel maintenance or modification contracts. The form requires contractors to account for all government-furnished property throughout the contract performance period, documenting receipt, installation, location, and final disposition of materials and equipment.
The report contains seven primary data collection columns: property description with National Stock Number (NSN) and serial numbers; property value; date received; date installed or consumed; current location or disposition status; and date disposition was completed. Contractors must document serviceable property (pre-existing items replaced during performance and returned to the Coast Guard), salvage (property with value exceeding scrap value), or scrap (property with only basic material value). The form requires signatures from both the Government Property Administrator and the contractor, with the administrator signing when disposition instructions are provided and the contractor signing after executing those instructions. The completed report must accompany the contractor's final invoice. This template is mandatory for property accountability and ensures all government assets furnished under the contract are properly tracked and accounted for before contract closure.
