About this file

This document is a technical specification and installation guide for the semi-permanent mounting option of a Mory Body vehicle upfitting system for the State of New Hampshire. The specification outlines a four-corner bolt-down mounting method as an alternative to permanent installation, designed for organizations operating under rough road conditions or utilizing multiple vehicle operators. The installation process requires verification of alignment and clearance before drilling to ensure no interference with existing wires, cables, or hoses beneath the truck, with specific instructions to bolt only to the cargo box rather than the vehicle frame.

The semi-permanent mounting option includes important safety and maintenance protocols that must be communicated to all personnel responsible for vehicle maintenance and operation. Installation of this bolt-down system does not eliminate the requirement for regular inspection and adjustment of original slack adjusters, as the mounting system functions as a secondary safety feature rather than a replacement for primary safety systems. The specification recommends affixing warning stickers to the rear door to notify personnel of the bolted installation, ensuring awareness during any future removal or maintenance operations.

Semi-Permanent Mounting Option (4) corner bolt down

If you decide to utilize the option of semi-permanent mounting your Mory Body please follow the steps below.

Over (in Master unit) Under truck

We recommend in the semi-permanent mounting of the Mory body to check under the truck to make sure the installation is clear of all wires, cables and hoses before drilling. Make sure to check the body for alignment front to back and side to side before any drilling takes place.

Do not bolt to frame, box only

Caution: If you decide on this option make sure that everyone who is responsible for maintenance knows that this unit is bolted down to prevent damage if removal is required. It is recommended to put a warning sticker on the rear door stating such.

Applying this option does not negate the need to check the original slack adjusters on a regular basis. The bolt down system is a secondary safety option and recommended where the company has “rough road” conditions and/or “multiple operators”.
