About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the fabrication and delivery of two boat landing platforms to the US Department of Transportation Maritime Administration at Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet in Benicia, California.
The contractor is required to fabricate two boat landing platforms according to government-provided fabrication drawings. The platforms will be suspended above water alongside ships at Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet and used to land accommodation ladders and dock water taxis, work boats, or patrol boats for personnel debarkation and embarkation. The platforms will be hung from existing fittings on the main deck using wire rope, with SBRF personnel responsible for the installation. The contractor must deliver the completed platforms to 2595 Lake Herman Road, Benicia, CA 94510, and the government intends to inspect the platforms at the contractor's facility prior to shipment. The SOW incorporates sustainable acquisition requirements consistent with Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 23, requiring the contractor to provide or use energy-efficient products (ENERGY STAR® or FEMP-designated), water-efficient products, biobased products, environmentally preferable products, non-ozone depleting products, or products made with recovered materials, meeting minimum EPA or USDA-designated content standards. These sustainable acquisition requirements apply to products delivered to the government, acquired for use at federally-controlled facilities, furnished for government use, or incorporated into the design or construction of a building or work.
