About this file

This document is an Attachment 2 Insurance Requirements file from Valencia College detailing specific insurance mandates for architectural firms participating in a nursing simulation lab design project. The insurance requirements outline minimum coverage levels, including General Liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence, Workers' Compensation meeting statutory requirements, Employers Liability Insurance of $1,000,000, and Professional Liability Insurance of $2,000,000. Firms must submit a Certificate of Insurance (COI) that explicitly names Valencia College District Board of Trustees and Valencia Foundation as additional insureds, with the certificate to be provided prior to or concurrent with agreement execution.

The insurance conditions stipulate that policies must cover the firm's entire operation throughout the agreement term, with no material alterations or cancellations effective until 30 days after notice to the Office of Contracts and Records. Insurance policies must be issued by companies authorized to conduct business in Florida, with the college retaining sole discretion on policy acceptability. The firm is responsible for all policy deductibles, and must promptly notify the college of any insurance coverage changes, including policy cancellations, within three business days of becoming aware of such changes. These stringent requirements aim to protect Valencia College's interests and ensure comprehensive risk management for the architectural services project.
