SOW (20 May 2026)

1.0. Overview and Objective

Minot AFB is home to two major Air Force units: the 5th Bomb Wing and the 91st Missile Wing. Located approximately 13 miles north of Minot, North Dakota, the base experiences pleasant, warm to moderately hot summers and bitterly cold winters, with extreme winds occasionally exceeding forty miles per hour. Minot AFB operates in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT).

2.0. Background

The 5th Force Support Squadron (5 FSS) oversees the base Auto Hobby Shop.

This facility provides authorized personnel and guests with a safe, equipped environment to perform automotive maintenance, repairs, and projects at a lower cost than off-base shops. The current lifts are inoperable, failed safety inspections, and replacement parts are unavailable. New lifts are required to allow customers to safely perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire balancing, four-wheel realignments, and undercarriage care.
