About this file
This document is an elevator modernization specification summary prepared by the State of Colorado, Office of the State Architect, for the Annex Building located at 1375 Sherman Street in Denver, Colorado (Project 2024-024P23-01CA). The scope of work includes modernization of three passenger elevators and one freight/service elevator. The three passenger elevators will be upgraded to operate at 350 feet per minute with 2,500-pound capacity, serving eight to nine floors with stops at the subbasement, basement, and floors one through seven. Modernization work includes replacing existing Westinghouse gearless hoist machines with new Permanente Magnet AC gearless machines, installing new microprocessor controllers, providing new regenerative VVVF motor drive units, installing new hoistway door equipment and limit switches, replacing car roller guides and wind-up safeties with new Hollister-Whitney Type B safeties, and installing new car door panels with satin finish bronze. The freight elevator (S-4) will be maintained at 100 feet per minute with 4,000-pound capacity serving nine floors and will receive a new PM AC gearless hoist machine with microprocessor controller, regenerative motor drive, new hoistway door equipment, and new car door panels. Both elevator systems will receive new hall pushbutton stations with LED illumination, new or refurbished lanterns, new pit access switches and stop switches, and updated cab interiors with new flooring and lighting.
The specification summary indicates that this document serves as a brief outline of the general scope of work, with the provision that if any discrepancies exist between the summary and the body of the technical specifications, or if an item is not included in the summary, the full technical specifications document should take precedence. The document does not contain information regarding pricing, contract terms, bidding deadlines, award dates, funding sources, or set-asides. This appears to be a technical equipment and work specification document rather than a full contract solicitation or bid package.
