About this file
This document is a California Department of General Services California Civil Rights Laws Attachment for the California Department of Social Services, specifically for Invitation for Bid (IFB) 25-3029. The attachment requires bidders or contractors proposing contracts of $100,000 or more to certify compliance with California civil rights laws, specifically the Unruh Civil Rights Act and the Fair Employment and Housing Act for contracts executed or renewed after January 1, 2017.
The certification mandates that contractors affirm they do not have internal policies discriminating against sovereign nations or peoples recognized by the United States government, and that any such policies would not violate civil rights statutes. The document provides a standard certification form to be completed by the bidder, including spaces for the firm name, federal ID number, authorized signature, printed name and title of the signatory, county and state of execution, and date of execution. This attachment is a legal requirement for state contract submissions, ensuring non-discriminatory practices in state contracting.
