About this file
This is a California Civil Rights Laws Certification document required for the IP Mail Scanning Solution procurement (RFP C5612999). The certification confirms that bidders and contractors comply with applicable California civil rights statutes and regulations, including provisions prohibiting discrimination based on protected characteristics such as race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, and other legally protected statuses. The document establishes mandatory compliance requirements for all vendors seeking to contract with the State of California, ensuring adherence to fair employment practices, accessibility standards, and non-discrimination policies throughout the contract performance period.
The certification serves as a prerequisite attestation that contractors will maintain compliance with California's civil rights laws and will not engage in discriminatory practices in hiring, employment, or service delivery. Vendors must acknowledge their understanding of these legal obligations and commit to implementing appropriate policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Failure to maintain civil rights compliance or violation of these requirements may result in contract termination, debarment from future state contracting opportunities, and potential legal penalties. This certification is a standard requirement for all state contracts and does not establish pricing terms, set-asides, or funding provisions but rather functions as a mandatory legal and ethical standard for contract participation.
