About this file

This is a Statement of Work for HVAC equipment replacement and installation at the USDA APHIS National Wildlife Research Center's Utah Field Station in Millville, Utah (Solicitation 12639526Q0076). The project addresses the facility's need to replace aging HVAC equipment in the administrative building to improve climate control, reduce maintenance requirements, and enhance productivity. The replacement was identified as necessary during an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee inspection, particularly given that animals are occasionally housed in the building for quarantine and medical procedures.

The scope of work includes complete removal of the existing hydronic heating system and all associated equipment and electrical components from the mechanical room. Installation requirements include two new furnaces with coils and air conditioners adapted to the existing ductwork for the building's north end, nine mini-split heat pump systems for office spaces, and three electric cover heaters with thermostats for restrooms and the safe room. The contractor is responsible for providing all equipment, materials, and labor necessary to complete the project, including all associated electrical work. Detailed specifications for the required equipment are contained in Attachment 2 of the solicitation.
