About this file

This file is a Request for Information (RFI) and Responses document addressing clarifications for the HVAC Equipment Replacement project at the National Wildlife Research Center's Utah Field Station. Amendment 0002 of the solicitation completely replaces the original Statement of Work, eliminating the requirement for two furnaces, two air conditioners, nine mini-splits, and three electric wall heaters that were specified in the original scope. Attachment 2 specifications referencing "Lennox or equal" equipment no longer apply. All existing ductwork remains in place unless specifically identified for removal in the revised SOW. The government will handle disposal of unneeded equipment and repair insulation, while the contractor is responsible for removal and cleanup of designated items.

The contractor's scope of work includes providing, installing, and programming complete Niagara integration controls with JACE-9000 software, graphics, and licensing, along with commissioning and owner training. All electrical work necessary for new pumps, variable frequency drives (VFDs), controls, and equipment to function properly is included in the contractor's responsibility. The contractor is also responsible for testing and balancing (TAB), controls commissioning, obtaining required permits, and disposal/cleanup activities. Hazardous material testing and abatement will be addressed through contract modification if required. The quoted deadline for Amendment 0002 submissions was August 14 at 11 a.m. Mountain Time. Equipment with long lead times will be accommodated within the project timeline. No mechanical, electrical, or controls drawings or marked-up equipment schedules are available for the revised scope.
