This strategic direction strengthens mission effectiveness and readiness by improving interoperability and network security to reduce shadow IT while delivering enterprise visibility into how software is procured, used, and sustained. Standardized enterprise SaaS management enables right-sized software service purchases at bulk pricing, rapid reallocation of unused licenses, and greater mission capability for investment dollars while reinforcing accountability and compliant use of SaaS solutions across the software lifecycle. The goal of this strategy is procurement of consistent, vetted, secure tools and data across the DAF, reducing retraining needs, and removing unnecessary administrative burden from warfighters executing the mission.
