Installation tasks encompass the new air handler unit, new or retrofitted ductwork, hydronic piping, electrical wiring, isolation valves, and drop ceiling repair/replacement. Critical integration requirements include ensuring system compatibility with existing Johnson Controls for Energy Management Control System (EMCS) integration, connecting to existing EMCS ports with BACnet or Modbus communication protocol compatibility, configuring EMCS to recognize the new system with proper control parameters and logic, testing EMCS integration to verify control points function correctly, verifying damper operation integration, testing and balancing airflow throughout the ductwork system, and performing startup and operational testing. The work may require after-hours execution (1800-0600 hours) and must comply with Federal, State, and Local codes; NSPC, NEC, ASHRAE standards; OSHA; NFPA; and UFC criteria. The contractor must notify the facility manager 14 days in advance of shutdown, restore all disturbed areas to original condition, provide system schematics and maintenance manuals upon completion, and warranty all work for one year from acceptance. Security requirements include identity proofing, vetting, and National Crime Information Center/California Law Enforcement Telecommunication System checks for all contractor and subcontractor personnel, with random security screenings authorized at any time.
