About this file
This document is a Performance Requirements Summary (PRS) that outlines contractor service requirements for the maintenance and inspection of Physical Training Facility (PTD) exercise equipment.
The PRS establishes six performance objectives with specific standards and measurable criteria. Weekly equipment inspection requires visual inspection of all PTD exercise equipment according to OEM manuals on a daily basis. Parts replacement mandates that the contractor replace any missing, defective, worn, disabled, or outmoded parts with components meeting or exceeding OEM specifications. Monthly equipment inspection requires visual and technical inspection of all PTD exercise equipment monthly per OEM manuals. Equipment repair must be completed within two weeks of COR notification for any damaged equipment, contingent on parts availability. Purchasing parts requires the contractor to provide three cost estimates with any parts replacement recommendations. Service records maintenance mandates legible written documentation of all visits, work accomplished, and parts ordered, replaced, or disposed of. All six requirements apply to all PTD exercise equipment as the lot size and establish a 5 percent Acceptable Quality Level (AQL), except for purchasing parts which specifies a 3 percent AQL. Verification methods include random sampling and/or customer complaints. Each performance requirement carries a one percent monthly invoice reduction for non-compliance, making these thresholds critical to mission success and contract payment.
