SECURITY FORCES COMBAT SHIRT
SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
Salient Characteristics (OCP pattern ONLY):
All fabric shall be lightweight, breathable, moisture wicking and odor resistant; long sleeve “over the head” style with a semi-tight fit that eliminates bunching or riding up under armor; right & left sleeves shall contain: Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP), hook and loop cuff closures, anti-abrasion padded elbow patches, two-channel flapped pen pocket on both forearms secured by hook & loop fastener tape, zippered shoulder pockets with 6-1/4 inch opening for all sizes (opening toward front of arm); right shoulder pocket must accommodate hook & loop name tape, rank insignia and flag; fastener tape dimensions: loop fastener for name tape shall be 1 inch wide x 5- 1/2 inches long, loop fastener for the rank patch shall be 2 inches wide x 2 inches long, loop fastener for flag shall be 2 inches wide x 3-1/2 inches long; left shoulder pocket must accommodate hook & loop unit patch, loop fastener for unit patch shall be 6-1/4 inches wide x 4 inches long; torso & mock turtle neck shall be Tan 499; modesty panel covering chest area; NIR is not required. Descriptive information added to the Combat Shirt's label, tag, and packaging shall clearly indicate this shirt does not provide fire resistance or flame retardant protection.
A. Suggested mesh knitted material for torso and/or mock turtle neck collar are: Cotton, polyester, spandex, blends, or other mesh knitted cloth. This material has been designated as “Type A”. Please see RFP Attachment 7 for additional description and for required tests.
B. Suggested material for sleeves are: Cotton, rayon, nylon, spandex, blends, or other knitted cloth. This material has been designated as “Type B”. Please see RFP Attachment 8 for additional description and for required tests.
C. Suggested non-mesh knitted material to be used in addition to or instead of the Type A material for torso and/or mock turtle neck collar are: Cotton, rayon, polyester, spandex, blends or other knitted cloth. This material has been designated as “Type C”. Please see RFP Attachment 9 for additional description and for required tests.
D. Suggested material to be used as the backing material and an interfacing for the forearm pocket and shoulder pocket to reinforce the structure shall be woven cloth. This/these material(s) have been designated as “Type D”. Please see RFP Attachment 10 for additional description and for required tests.

Combat Shirt Sizing Requirements: The combat shirt shall be available in the following sizes and should generally fit the dimensions listed with each size.
