About this file
This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Finance Division, Procurement Section, for the procurement of 50 commercial portable X-ray systems. The RFQ number is 15F06726Q000602, and vendors are advised this is not yet a binding order.
Each system must include 12 specified components: controller-to-detector cable, diagonal tripod mount, controller unit, desktop charger, communication cable with ruggedized RJ45 connector, detector with battery, additional battery pack, professional software license, backpack, bipod stand, dual drive USB Type-C storage, and USB-C to controller cable. The detector panel must meet minimum technical specifications including 14" × 17" dimensions, 310 μm scintillator thickness, 148 μm pixel size, and 1mm internal lead shielding. Additional system requirements include a controller-to-panel cable of at least 30 feet with quick-release capability, a detachable computer-to-controller cable of at least 160 feet, and a 6-foot communication cable compatible with the Persistent Systems LLC MPU5 MANET radio system. The system must be fully integrated with the Sandia National Laboratories X-ray Tool Kit and its Unified Scan Control functionality, ruggedized for field deployment with thermal management features, and require no more than one cable at the detector panel during operation. Vendors must provide operator training and technical support, obtain military base and FBI visitor access clearance, supply a minimum two-year warranty from shipment covering defects, and provide all software updates and upgrades at no additional cost for two years from shipment. Shipping costs within CONUS must be included in vendor pricing.
