About this file

This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details a mold remediation and pest removal project for Building 1602, 3rd Floor, B-Wing at Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Maryland. The project requires comprehensive biohazard removal, sanitization, and facilities remediation due to a raccoon/pest infestation that has caused damage to the suspension ceiling, including mammal droppings, urine, chewed tiles and insulation, HVAC leaks, and fungal growth.

The contractor must perform specific tasks including removing and assessing ceiling tiles, sanitizing the workspace, identifying and patching pest entry points, repairing damaged drywall, and implementing preventative measures to neutralize future pest access. Key performance objectives include 99% carpet and debris remediation, 100% drywall patch replacement, full ceiling tile restoration, and documentation of extensive damages. The work must be conducted following IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) standards, with strict safety protocols including personal protective equipment, containment barriers, negative air pressure, and HEPA filtration. Work is to be performed Monday through Friday between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, excluding federal holidays.
