About this file
Summary of New Hampshire State Police Uniforms RFB 193-26
This Detailed Specifications document outlines the uniform requirements for the New Hampshire State Police across six garment categories. The specifications cover short-sleeve summer shirts and long-sleeve winter shirts (Specifications A and B), summer-weight and winter-weight trousers for non-commissioned officers (Specifications C and D), and summer-weight and winter-weight trousers for commissioned officers (Specifications E and F). All garments are manufactured by Raeford Mills and feature dark green shirts with taupe-piped shoulder straps and pocket flaps, constructed from 55% Dacron/Polyester and 45% Wool blends. Shirts are available in neck sizes 14 to 19 and include modified military officer styling with functional brass zippers, badge tabs with metal eyelets, scalloped pocket flaps, military creases, and body camera grommet installation by certified Utility, Inc. vendors. Trousers are available in sizes 27-44 and feature modified military dress styling with separate waistbands, multiple pocket types (front, hip, and utility), brass flip-lock zippers, and distinguishing stripe designs that vary between officer ranks, with commissioned officers featuring a taupe center stripe bordered by dark green.
The specifications mandate high-quality construction standards including double stitching throughout with poly-cotton thread, flat-bed felling machines for sleeve setting, double chain stitching for seat seams, and minimum twelve stitches per inch for trouser stitching. All garments require measurement tags attached to collars or labels and must be fully pressed prior to delivery. Shirts feature convertible sport collars with permanent plastic stays for summer versions and dress collars with tie accommodation for winter versions, while both feature interlined construction with nylon taffeta. Trouser construction requires specific pocket machine operations (Reece pocket machine #46 or equivalent) with 3/16-inch double piping for hip and utility pockets, bar-tacked pocket endings, and unhemmed bottoms with minimum 38-inch inseam lengths. Materials are subject to Kaumagraph mill identification stamps, and all garments serve both male and female state police officers across seasonal uniform requirements.
