SYNOPSIS OF WORK
PROJECT TITLE: REPAIR CH&PP ELECTRIC PANELS & CIRCUITS, PHASE B
LOCATION: EIELSON AFB, ALASKA
PROJECT: FTQW 19-0504
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Work includes upgrading and modifying the low voltage electrical and lighting systems at Eielson’s Central Heat & Power Plant (CH&PP). The Contractor shall provide new light fixtures, conduit, conductors, boxes and appurtenances to replace the light fixtures in the CH&PP, from the 2nd floor to the top of the plant, as well as in the cooling pond pump house. Demolish the existing light fixtures and associated conduit, conductors and appurtenances in the same areas. Provide temporary services and lighting as necessary to maintain CH&PP operations throughout the construction period.
Surfaces within the plant are covered in settled dust. Much of the dust contains silica and heavy metals. Many of the surfaces in the plant are coated with lead-based paint and there are asbestos containing materials within the plant. The contractor shall take appropriate measures to avoid exposing his workers to unacceptable hazards.
Estimated Project Cost is between $1,500,000 and $2,000,000.
