About this file
This document is a Salient Characteristics specification for a camera surveillance system upgrade at an air freight terminal. The requirements include replacing and upgrading the existing security camera infrastructure with a comprehensive system featuring 12 high-definition cameras that can potentially expand to 20 cameras in the future. The system specifications detail precise technical requirements, including 8 32-megapixel multi-sensor exterior cameras with 270-degree field of view, 3 16-megapixel wall-mounted multi-sensor cameras, and 1 16-megapixel dual sensor camera, along with two live viewing client stations, a camera server capable of recording at 15 frames per second with 64TB storage, and a fully hardwired cat6 infrastructure.
The technical specifications also include specific hardware components such as 12U Wall Mount Server Rack Enclosures, 1500VA Rack Mount UPS for each server rack location, signal boosters to prevent transmission degradation, and a standard 2-5 year parts and labor warranty. The entire system purchase, installation, and billing must be completed by September 30, 2025, with the awarded company responsible for the full implementation. The upgrade aims to enhance terminal security by expanding camera coverage throughout the air freight terminal with advanced multi-sensor camera technology that allows multiple camera views from a single cable run.

Salient Characteristics for upgrade of camera surveillance system
Require upgrade replacement/relocation of camera surveillance system with high-definition cameras and monitoring system with high-capacity recording capability. The system needs to be able to accommodate the current requirement of no less than twelve cameras/views and be capable of handling up to 20 cameras/views for potential future requirements. The system upgrade and addition will expand coverage areas throughout the air freight terminal to enhance terminal security. The purchase and installation of the system will be the responsibility of the awarded company. The installation and billing will need to be completed by 30 Sep 2025.
Display:
• No less than 27” HD monitor for each of the two live viewing client stations and monitors
• Live monitoring workstation
Camera Server:
• Must allow for recording at 15 frames per second and retain footage for at least 500 hrs/64TB storage with retrieval capabilities and located in the room with monitoring station 1
Cameras:
• A total of (8) 32-megapixel multi-sensor cameras that will be corner mounted on the exterior of the building providing a 270-degree field of view. The multi-sensor cameras mounted on the interior will be pendant mounted to the ceiling joists and will provide 360-degree coverage in all directions around the camera. Multi-sensor technology provides the ability to provide multiple camera views from one cat 6 cable run.
• (3) 16-megapixel wall mounted multi-sensor cameras. These cameras must provide a 180-degree view when wall mounted.
• (1) 16-megapixel dual sensor camera.
• Licenses to cover all twelve of the cameras (if required).
Signal boosters (where required):
• Due to the long runs of cable for several of the camera locations, boosters ensure no degradation of transmission to monitoring stations.
Racks & wiring:
• Fully hardwired cat6 wiring infrastructure. There must be a 12U Wall Mount Vertical Mount
Server Depth Low Profile Rack Enclosure Cabinet in the office and (2) Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) locations with 12U Performance Wall Mount Server Cabinet Network Rack Enclosure in the field. This will provide the ability to run cameras to the nearest network rack location.
Power:
• 1500VA Rack Mount UPS for each server rack location
• Once awarded and actual requirements are determined, the customer will work through the process for routing to identified locations.
Warranty:
• Standard 2 - 5 year parts and labor
