About this file
This document is a comprehensive set of instructions for obtaining a badge to access the Savannah River Site (SRS), a Department of Agriculture facility. The instructions cover two types of badge requests: Subcontractor Site Badges and Visitor Site Badges, providing detailed step-by-step guidance for each process. Key requirements include submitting the badge request form at least 2 weeks in advance for subcontractors or 5 days in advance for visitors, providing specific personal and employment information, and presenting two forms of identification, with at least one being a primary form of ID.
The document also outlines strict prohibited articles for the site, including all firearms, weapons, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, unmanned aerial systems, and personally-owned recreational vehicles. Badge office hours are Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-3 p.m., with a noon closure daily. Applicants must use a online queuing system and bring specific documentation, such as a U.S. passport, driver's license, or military ID, along with a secondary form of identification like a Social Security card. The badging process is designed to ensure security and proper access control for the Savannah River Site.
