About this file

This is an identification requirements document showing acceptable forms of ID needed to obtain a One Day Guest Pass at a U.S. military facility in Japan. The document specifies four primary acceptable forms of ID: Basic Resident Registration Card (Jumin Kihon Daicho Card, pictured form only), My Number Card (Kojin Bango Card, pictured form only), Japan/Foreign Passport (with valid visa required for non-Japanese), and Japanese Driver's License (must have place of birth column).

The document includes special provisions for minors and students: no ID is required for children under 12 years old, students aged 13-18 may use school IDs (pictured or non-pictured, Japanese students only), and minors must be escorted by a parent or approved guardian after 1700 hours. For Japanese driver's licenses, supplemental documentation is required, including Address Certificate with Permanent Address, Koseki Kojin-Jiko Shomeisho, Koseki Zenbu-Jiko Shomeisho, or Kisai Inji-hyo Record. The My Number Card section specifically notes that it is only valid for Japanese nationals and includes details about the differences between Japanese and non-Japanese cards, particularly regarding the date of birth format (Japanese Calendar vs. Western Calendar).
