The contractor shall replace the existing pump system for a 921-foot well by pulling the existing pump assembly, providing and installing a new 5 horsepower deep-well submersible pump suitable for installation at 820-880 feet depth, installing submersible pump cable (approximately 900-950 feet), torque arrestors, centralizers, and stainless-steel check valves, and providing a new pump control system including overload protection, surge protection, and pressure switch or optional VFD control. The contractor must also disinfect the well per standards, flush the system, perform bacteriological testing, conduct performance testing to verify required flow and pressure, and provide as-built documentation, test results, and warranty information. All labor, materials, equipment, testing, and documentation necessary to restore the well to proper working condition are contractor-provided. Key personnel must include a licensed pump installer, qualified electrician, and well technician experienced with deep-well installations exceeding 800 feet, with resumes demonstrating relevant experience and certifications. All travel costs to the well site are included in the contractor's quote with no separate reimbursement provided. Deliverables include a pump removal findings report (due first), submittals for pump, motor, and controls prior to installation, disinfection and bacteriological test results prior to opening water valves to dwellings, a final installation report and system performance test prior to final acceptance, and as-built drawings and warranty documentation within 10 days of final acceptance. The government will provide access to the well site, historical well logs if available, and operational data, with government personnel reviewing and approving all reports and submittals. All electronic deliverables must be Section 508 compliant, and all data, reports, and documentation generated become the property of the U.S. Government.
