About this file

The document is an Environmental Management System (EMS) awareness flyer for Ramstein Air Base, produced by the S.O.R.T. (Save Our Resources Team) initiative. The flyer outlines the US Air Force's environmental sustainability strategy, which includes commitments to respect natural and human resources, reduce environmental risks, decrease utility costs, and improve operational processes. The EMS is implemented in accordance with Air Force Instruction 32-7001 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.

The flyer provides practical guidance for reducing environmental impact, including recommendations to make smarter shopping decisions, buy products with less packaging, recycle extensively, and continually check for new conservation opportunities. It covers multiple environmental focus areas such as hazardous waste management, water conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling. Contact information is provided for the 86 CES/CEIE Environmental Management System Coordinator, with specific points of contact for recycling, hazardous materials, natural resources, water, and energy issues.
