About this file

Exhibit D-Building and Equipment Data is a detailed architectural inventory document for the Wawona Hotel Complex in Yosemite National Park, encompassing five buildings: the Main Building, Clark Cottage, Little White Cottage, Moore Cottage, and Washburn Cottage, and the Hotel Annex. The document provides comprehensive floor plans, square footage, room configurations, and fixture counts for each structure, including details on guest rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and utility spaces. Each building's data includes its construction year, building footprint, interior floor area, unit counts, and specific fixture information such as water closets, urinals, lavatories, and showers.

The document reveals unique architectural features across the buildings, such as the Main Building's basement and ground floor with various functional spaces, the cottages' single or multi-level configurations, and the Hotel Annex's ground, first, and second floors with multiple room types. Notable technical details include fire suppression system information, with underground vaults located between buildings using nitrogen gas, and boiler systems for hot water distribution. The buildings range in construction dates from 1876 (Clark Cottage) to 1917-1918 (Hotel Annex), representing a historic hospitality complex with varied architectural elements and room configurations.

Fire suppression system equipment is located in underground vaults located between the buildings. The fire suppression system uses (colorless, odorless) nitrogen gas that is pressure regulated in undergorund distribution lines. These vaults are defined as confined spaces.

Employees must wear personal protective equipment and be trained prior to entering and working in confined spaces.

One vault is located between and serves Moore and Washburn Cottages. The second vault is located between Clark and Little White Cottages.
