About this file
The document is an Assurance of Civil Rights Compliance form from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), specifically for a vendor seeking federal financial assistance. The form requires the vendor to commit to comprehensive non-discrimination standards across multiple federal civil rights laws, including the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Education Amendments of 1972, Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Americans with Disabilities Act, and others, as part of a contract or assistance agreement related to the Serving Counters FY2025 project in Florida.
The assurance binds the vendor to stringent non-discrimination policies that prohibit exclusion or discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion, marital status, income source, political beliefs, or prior civil rights activity in any USDA-funded program or activity. By signing this document, the vendor agrees to immediate remediation of any potential discriminatory practices and acknowledges that the USDA can seek judicial enforcement of these commitments. The document covers a broad range of potential federal financial assistance, including cash assistance for food purchases, equipment rental, and other support mechanisms, with the commitment remaining in effect as long as the vendor receives USDA assistance.
