About this file

The document is a Polarized Light Microscopy Bulk Asbestos Analysis Report for Cherokee Nation 35, LLC, conducted by Micro Analytical Services, Inc. for Building 12 at Fort Bliss, Texas. The report details the analysis of nine roofing material samples (samples 12-01 through 12-09), which include black fibrous roofing material, roofing felt, and roof shingles. Notably, none of the samples tested positive for asbestos. The samples consisted of various non-asbestos constituents including cellulose, aggregate, asphalt, fibrous glass, and were analyzed on April 25, 2025, using EPA-approved testing methods for asbestos detection.

This asbestos survey appears related to the forthcoming solicitation W911SG25BA015 for B12 Roof Repairs, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside contract valued between $250,000 and $500,000. The project involves installing a new metal shingle roof system at Building 12 on Pershing Road at Fort Bliss, including wood plank deck replacement, self-adhering underlayment, and metal roof shingles. The contract requires a 30-year manufacturer's warranty with 120-mph wind speed coverage and has a 120-day performance period, with the solicitation expected to be issued around June 30, 2025, and bid opening scheduled for approximately August 1, 2025.
