About this file

This Scope of Work document outlines the installation requirements for the Withlacoochee Seed Orchard Irrigation Project 2025-2026, prepared by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service. The project encompasses the complete installation of irrigation infrastructure across approximately 93 acres, consisting of 3,000 linear feet of six-inch Schedule 40 PVC main distribution lines, 8,500 linear feet of four-inch Schedule 40 PVC feeder lines organized into five feeder lines with spacing intervals of either 30 or 35 feet, ten four-inch valves, six flush-out stations (five four-inch and one six-inch), 283 two-inch PVC risers installed on the feeder lines, 179 two-inch PVC caps, 94 rolls of one-inch polyline (660 feet per roll), 3,920 Maxi-jet winged 340 Full Circle Flat Spray misters with mister stakes and 36 inches of dripline, and all associated fittings, glue, cleaners, hose clamps, 90-degree elbows, and t-fittings. The main distribution lines connect from the well to the irrigation area, with Main Line #1 measuring 1,300 feet, Main Line #2 measuring 560 feet, and Main Line #3 measuring 650 feet. The five feeder lines each contain valves positioned at specific intervals, with mister installation occurring at 30-foot intervals between valve numbers 2 and 3, and at 15-foot intervals between valve numbers 7, 8, 9, and 10. One-inch polyline flush-out caps total 104 units and are installed at the end of each polyline row.

The scope of work specifies that the contractor is responsible for supplying all materials and completing the installation as a turnkey project. The contractor must integrate the new irrigation system with existing well infrastructure at the Withlacoochee State Forest site in Brooksville, Florida. All installation must comply with the specifications outlined, including proper spacing of risers, placement of valves and flush-outs, and integration of the mister system with polyline distribution. The document does not specify pricing structures, bonding requirements, insurance requirements, or contract terms; these details are addressed in the related solicitation documents requiring a mandatory site visit on January 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM, with a sealed bid due date of February 2, 2026, at 5:00 PM, and a 120-calendar-day completion schedule following the Notice to Proceed.
